First i'd just like to apologize if you were blinding by my porcelain complexion in a couple of those pictures there. Obviously my camera was not happy about it. :D

I wore this for work last week. I actually ended up switching out my shoes though. I felt they were a little too outrageous + high to be appropriate but they were fun for pictures or a night out!

I recommended this dress in a blog post when i saw all the Kirna Zabete for Target was on clearance and i honestly was not planning on buying it myself!!! Then i ended up with a few Target gift cards and i did enjoy it very much so it showed up at my house after all. I'm glad though. It's a great winter dress for me!

Lately I've been doing some thinking about this blog and where i want it to go. About two years ago, i stopped buying clothes just because they were a good deal and started really narrowing down my personal style. Now i feel like i'm at a point where i have a closet that reflects me extremely well and i want to focus more of my energy (and money) on other things. I have a wide array of hobbies and interests after all!

So we'll see. I haven't spent a lot of time sharing my personal life and i think i may be ready to do that (did you know i'm married and am a mom?!! And that i'm pretty close to 30?!). I want to work more on making my home reflect the people that live inside it so i might as well share that journey too!

BUT I still have a passion for fashion and will most definitely still be doing outfit posts. Most likely not as many but it's still a big interest of mine.

So those are my thoughts. Thanks for reading them if you did. If not, that's ok, just comment about how cute this dress is. ;)

  16. Aagghhh, I thought you were going to wind up saying you were gonna stop blogging. I was ready to start a riot! ;)

I've been thinking the same things lately. I started blogging thinking I wasn't going to post about my personal life, but focusing solely on fashion gives such a narrow view of what matters to you. I've been getting into interior design and decorating lately, too. I have been living in a blank slate, because for some reason I've always thought of it as too adult for me. I was thinking in terms of shabby chic and vintage-y florals, and not the quirky stuff I like. I can't believe it took me to nearly 30 for that to dawn on me. :P

    1. Haha noooooo! I love my blog, i just don't ever want it to make me feel like i constantly have to be buying new clothes or not repeating outfits when i want to, you know?

I LOVE that we are on the same page with interior design and i know exactly what you mean. I was never interested because i had seen so many house or pictures of houses that all looked so...the same. And not even remotely my style. Like you, i just recently realized...i can do whatever the heck i want in my house. And it's made me really happy and inspired. :D
