Here is where i spent a majority of my Sunday:
My son, Teegan turned 6 and a HALF today so i thought it would be cute to do a little something special to "celebrate". I gave him a few choices and he picked Edinborough Park; a gigantic indoor playground that we have in Minnesota.
To me, this is one of the perks of mom life.
I'll be the first to say, i'm pretty immature. A giant play structure like this is still my idea of a good time. Having a kid in tow suddenly makes it super socially acceptable for me to be sliding down a giant wave slide with my hands in the air.
It also makes it socially acceptable for me to talk out loud to myself in public. Because obviously i am talking to my child, duh!
So if this post is making you feel a little jealous right now (and everyone is like, "huh? no. not really.") definitely borrow yourself a kiddo for a day and have yourself a blast with all the activities you thought you had to leave behind with your youth.
Sadly, i forgot to check the weather report before we left the house and was greeted by freezing rain and super slick roads upon our departure. But Teegan had a great time and we made it home alive so....yay?
Hope you're all having a good weekend! And staying warm! My heat is set at like 72 and yesterday i wore leggings and fleece pants around the house. x,x
Is winter over yet?!?! I'm so tired of being cold.

ReplyDeletei feel the same way about sky zone...have you ever been? it's ridiculously fun. despite the crazy snow, it was a nice "warm" day yesterday, right?? i'm glad you had a fun time!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! My son was invited to a birthday party there once and i completely forgot about it! Thanks so much for the reminder and yay for another awesome thing to do in the winter!
DeleteAnd yes, 30 degrees feels like a downright heatwave. ;)
That's so rad!!! One of my favorite mommyhood perks is being able to justify watching cartoons all day. I love the idea of doing "half" birthdays, too! I have seen "half" cakes on Pinterest. Any excuse to have cake!
ReplyDeleteI was lucky enough to be in town once when my BF's little nephew celebrated his b-day at a local indoor playground filled with giant inflatables. I had the best time, hehe!
ReplyDeleteUmm, that place looks like a lot of fun! I would so play in that if I had a kid- I mean it would be a good excuse- right?! -Jessica L
ReplyDeleteI am jealous, I am a massive child still and when I see some form of childs playground or ride, I have the urge to run over to it.
ReplyDeleteI just need a kidda to borrow =(
