What I'm Loving: Music & TV

Hey guys it's February now! So with a new month i thought i'd post a new selection of music and television i'm digging at the moment!

(left to right, top to bottom)

1. Metric: I've been a long time fan of Metric and i feel like each album so far as been just as wonderful as the next. For me it's the perfect blend of pop + electronic and dare i say the tiniest bit of rock? But what really gets me are the lyrics. "A scream becomes a yawn"? J' adore. (i'm totally French now)

2. Tricky: Not a new album at all. This is one i've been revisting lately and i forgot how much i love it. Most likely brought back to my memory when i started re-listening to Portishead. I needed more Trip-hop! Addicting! I *think* my favorite song off of this album is, "Overcome".

3. Foxygen: I'll admit i haven't listened to this album too much yet AND the first thing that peeked my interest about it is the super cute name of the band lol. So i guess it's not exactly what i'm loving but it's still worth a listen for sure. The song i started with was, "Shuggie" XD

4. Tegan & Sara: This is another band i've been listening to for a long time. I actually feel a little, "meh" about this album as a whole (The Con and Sainthood have been my favs from them), but I love the song "Closer" off of this album and i've been listening on repeat. @_@ 

Ok totally impromptu with my television choice because i literally just started watching it last night (and finished the first season @_@) but The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret is my choice for sure. You can watch it on Netflix (i have no idea if it still plays on tv or not) I came across it really randomly. I've been on a Battlestar Galactica binge BUT I've been watching it with my husband and he was not home. This show was under my suggestions because i've been watching so much BSG? O.o 

Anyway it is HILARIOUS. In a really awful but smart way? As in, don't watch it if you get offended easily but it doesn't use it in a typical cheap fashion you see a lot. If you're like me, you'll laugh even when you don't want to laugh. But yeah, you've been warned. Don't try and watch this around kids. Or parents. :D

Alright! That's all i've got! Except for i'm super excited that groundhog predicted an early spring. Fingers crossed!
